Has some good introductory videos. Graeme in Tasmania has good (he is gradually updating his NXT tutorials for the EV3). These tutorials work with both the retail and education versions of the EV3. Have dozens of Youtube videos about the EV3 but so far they seem too basic to be much fun.

Are some more 'EV3 tutorials for students by students' (fifth graders i.e. 10 year olds). Again, probably too basic for a clever clogs like you? Has a Mindstorms section.
